Gudrun is one of Germany’s most sought-after and well-respected trad musicians. Be it German traditional music or Irish trad, Gudrun is equally at home in both as she grew up playing Irish and German trad in a musical family. With her band “Cara“ she tours Europe and the USA on a regular base and has won two Irish Music Awards: 

“Best New Irish Artist“ 2009 und “Top Group“ 2010. 

She is also much in demand as studio and guest musician and has worked with various bands and orchestras as well as producing music for radio and television. German folk magazine “Folker“ wrote “certainly the best fiddler on scene“

Claire Mann is certainly one of the best tune players on the trad scene. She toured extensively with her bands Tabache, Craobh Rua and Christy O’Leary before concentrating on duo work with Aaron Jones. She teaches at the Newcastle University and taught for numerous years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Claire is a four-time All-Ireland Champion on various instruments.

Juergen Treyz studied guitar at the MGI in Munich. In 1993 he founded the artes recording studio which specialises in acoustic and traditional music.

Being involved in radio plays, theatre plays and TV productions as a guitarist, composer and arranger, he has published over 50 albums with his own music and was repeatedly rewarded with the renowned German Critics Award.

Together with Gudrun he is co-founder of “Cara“  and the German trad project „Deitsch“, whose CD “Heimat“ has been nominated for the German Folk Awards and won the German Critics Award in 2009.

Originally from Poole in England, Aaron has lived and worked in Scotland for over twenty-five years. He spends most of his year on the road touring throughout the World. He has recorded on countless traditional albums and continues to tour and record regularly with some of the biggest names in traditional music.

His band, Old Blind Dogs, were voted Band of the Year in 2004 and 2007 at the Scots Trad Music Awards and won the IAP 'Folk Album of the Year' in the USA for their CD 'Four on the Floor'. Their latest release, 'Wherever Yet May Be', on Nashville's Compass Records was shortlisted for the same award in 2011. Aaron won "Instrumentalist of the Year" at the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2005.
